Early start, short run so made Lizzie wait. Left anchorage upstream, between the islands, plenty of water. Saw a swimming deer, and a blue heron of course. Called the lock 2 miles out; they lowered the big chamber for us (not sure why). Only had to wait a few minutes for the doors to open. Super loud horn, totally startled both of us. About 5 foot less lift than normal--lake is lower to handle remnants of Ida. Anchored just past the marina, put out 10x rode in case we get more weather than forecast.

Saw a coyote wandering the water's edge, and another blue heron. Dinghied Lizzie to the marina, filled up 1.7g of gas. Light rain started around noon, picked up slightly before 2. Sitting on the transom with a nice breeze--first not too hot day for ages.
