Elizabeth City (free dock) to Tuckahoe Point (anchorage)

Day 215  •
Left a bit after 9am--the nearby bridge only opens twice between 7 and 9, and the weather forecast was for improving conditions in the afternoon. Gypsies Palace and One Eye Dog left earlier from Coinjock, and they reported good conditions from the Albermarle. Our line was more due south, theirs nort...

Port Jefferson to Port Washington

Day 179  •
Highwind left early, very choppy conditions getting out of the harbor and turned to the west, then improving. We waited several hours, should have waited longer. Departing ferry passed us before the inlet. We followed it out, saw the incoming ferry, then realized the outbound ferry was circling. We...

Greenport to Port Jefferson

Day 176  •
Overcast but calm. Current with us to Plum Gut, then lots of chop south of the inlet. Strong current against us through the cut and after--up to 3.5 knots. Decided to continue to Port Jefferson to have a mooring ball and launch through the bad weather. Water conditions were great; the only issue was...

Battleship Cove to Newport

Day 173  •
Early start. Made water. Easy trip into Newport. Crossed under bridge near the west end, about 25', but had to try it to find out. Took a mooring ball from Old Port Marine. Long walk to brewery with David, Jax and Hannah joined us later, a shorter walk to a second one, then lyft back and a dark ding...

Newport to Fisher Island

Day 174  •
Early start. Some beamy seas to and around Point Judith, then on our stern. Anchored in East Bay Overflow, waked all day by boats speeding into East Bay. Mostly quiet night, but some gentle rollers from the north were on our beam 3-4am, just enough to notice.

Fisher Island to Greenport

Day 175  •
Early start, light chop most of the way, winds <10, but higher than forecast. Overcast. Made water.

Boston to Onset Beach

Day 168  •
Dropped lines early from the Charlesgate Yacht Club after a lovely 5 night visit. Easy through the bridges and lock. A bit beamy and winds higher than forecast after turning the corner heading into Cape Code Bay. Timing was good for the canal, so we pushed on. A lot of wakes from boats running again...

Onset Beach to Fogland

Day 169  •
Un-rafted and pulled anchor around 7. Plan was to go to New Bedford, but conditions were placid so we pushed on to this anchorage on the Sakonnet River. A little beamy the last 20 minutes before turning upriver, but a good call. Lots of boat chores. Windy in the afternoon, and the next day, but a ni...

To Pirate's Cove

Day 171  •
About 4 miles from our anchorage of 2 nights at Fogland, where Hannah and David joined us for the 2nd night. Rafted with them back to back in the Cove. Shallow--maybe 3' below keel at low tide--but very quiet. Highway bridge at entry, 25' tall, but not much wider. And lots of current.

To Battleship Cove, Fall Rivers, MA

Day 172  •
Short run from Pirate's Cove. Made enough water for a load of laundry. Generator autorun this morning, power at 39% at 7am. Installed package manager and guimods on the Cerbo GX. Toured a WWII sub, interesting display on PT boats. Walked to Walmart, lyft back. A brewery in the plans for this evening...
