Fort McRae (anchorage) to the Wharf Marina
Nothing of particular note. Pumped out on arrival. They moved our slip assignment to a less tight slip, but we moved back a few days later as we waited out the incessant storms.

Mostly hugged the shore to minimize fetch from south winds. Had to go out to pass the bridge, got a bit nasty. Anchored in the harbor, dinghied to a restaurant dock. Stayed two nights due to heavy storms, 50 knot sustained, gusts to 80, anchor held great.

Early start. Stopped at Mobile Convention Center for a few hours to let the bay settle down, which worked perfectly. Diverted from ship channel below the Dog River cutoff, saw 4.5' under the keel at the lowest. Beating the weather and wind in.

Another great anchorage, easy shore access, quiet, well-protected. Easy day to Clarksville Marina. Downbound tow asked us to wait while he rounded a curve--good call, he was nearly bank to bank. Marina is nice, reasonable depth, great condition.

After 2 nights at a lovely anchorage, worked our way back to the Cumberland, then a lovely cruise upstream to Hickman Creek. Narrow entrance, but enough water. Anchor took a bit to settle in.

We fueled up at Shawnee State Park, $3.369 ~400 gallons. Plenty of water in the harbor, which was nice. Cruised to Augusta, a bit slower--9 kts rather than 10+. Dinner on the boat. Weather in the low 80s, a bit choppy on westerly fetches.

We had an easy crossing of the mouth of Tampa Bay. Took a route towards Gulfport that has a 17 ft fixed bridge--had to drop the radar but cleared with no problems. Took on fuel, then moved to a slip. Walked to dinner at Italian place downtown.
